About Bowker Hall
Bowker Hall in Oak Bay is only available for booking by Girl Guide and Girl Scout groups. Bowker Hall is within busing distance to all the downtown sights and attractions.

Fully Equipped Kitchen contains:

Small appliances: toaster, kettle, coffee maker

Grocery storage
Please be prepared to take home your garbage, recycling and compost unless you are busing or crossing the border, in which case, you can ask for an exemption by emailing the Bowker Hall Manager.

Sleeping
Sleeping is accommodated on the floor in the large hall, with an additional small meeting room upstairs - maximum 24. Bring your own sleeping bags and sleeping pads.

Audio Visual Equipment
Upstairs has a wall mounted TV and the main hall downstairs has a ceiling mounted projector and ceiling mounted, remote controlled screen, accessible with user supplied laptop and HDMI cable.
Bathroom Facilities
Includes 2 toilets and wash basins. Sorry, no showers.
Parking
Free parking available for a maximum of 2 vehicles in the “Loading Zone” area in front of the main entrance between noon on Fridays until 8:00am on Mondays. All other vehicles must park on Monterey Avenue.
The Oak Bay Fire Department runs daily training, Monday to Friday mornings from 8:00am-Noon when there is no parking allowed by the public in the whole parking lot during that time frame. Summer rentals and day use rentals, please be aware of this restriction.

Neighbourhood Activities

Bowker Hall is located next to a park with a playground and lots of green space for outdoor games. The park is well used by local soccer and baseball leagues.

To the west is the Bowker Creek corridor park with a walking path which leads past Oak Bay High School to the Oak Bay Recreation Centre (10 minute walk).

Willows Beach (ocean) is within walking distance.
Transportation from the BC Ferries at Swartz Bay (Sidney)
See BC Ferries Connector operated by Wilson's Group (www.bcfconnector.com) or BC Transit (www.bctransit.com) for information on public buses from Swartz Bay to downtown Victoria, then to Oak Bay via BC Transit bus.
